Join Blossom Leilani Crawford in her workshop, Kathy's Cats and Beyond. In this workshop, she teaches the basics of Kathy's Cats and demonstrates how the Cats can be used for body assessment, as well as a tool to enhance the quality of movement in any body. Blossom then extrapolates the principles and imagery of the Cats to other Pilates exercises on the Reformer and Wunda Chair, further demonstrating the benefits of the Cats as foundational non-Pilates movement that enrich the fundamental Pilates exercises.

Objectives:
- Learn to use Kathy's Cats as a body assessment tool to find asymmetries in the body as well as to evaluate how the body's spine moves and works

- Discover easy movement ideas to enhance the quality of movement in Pilates exercises on the Reformer and the Wunda Chair

- Learn how Kathy Grant used small tennis or fitness balls to assist with the Cats and other Pilates exercises in the balance and correct placement of the body

If you are going to work out, it is important that you have the right gear. Wearing some worn-out sweats can kill your motivation to exercise. If you look good while you exercise, you'll be more motivated to go out there and work out.


Find ways to mix up your workouts on a daily basis. This will keep things from getting too monotonous. This boredom must be eliminated so that you can stay on track and achieve your goals. By varying your exercise regime, you are more likely to stay engaged and not as likely to skip your workout.

Choose easily attainable rewards that you really want. By giving yourself small rewards along the way, you will help yourself remain motivated in your quest for optimum fitness.


You don't have to find exercising monotonous or boring. Having a good attitude and approaching your workouts the right way will increase your enjoyment of your exercise routine. Change your views towards getting fit by keeping a positive attitude.
